Lok KwunJust like Penang has its famous Char Kuey Teow, Tuaran is famous for its noodles. Just a forty minutes (Assuming you are driving at an average of 80mph) drive from the city center. If you are in Kota Kinabalu, you may be aware that the locals here call it Tuaran noodles instead. The noodles are usually home-made with sliced barbecue pork, fried egg and the usual greens.Ask anyone in Tuaran about the best place to have a plate of their noodles, they’ll most probably recommend you on under the name of Lok Kwun and Ri Xin. Both of which are on the same block opposite of a KFC food outlet.
