Situated on the other end of the block where the Olde Station Kopitiam is, the eatery’s signature dish is the Beaufort noodles (mee)—distinctive by its gluey sauce texture. Each order is served together with a decent portion of greens, charsiew and pork slices—justifiable since you’ll be paying RM6 for the meal but still quite costly by Kota Kinabalu’s standards. It opens daily between 9am—2.30pm and 6—9.30pm.
This is something I can applaud to. Loosely following the concept of a traditional kopitiam, the eatery made an effort to not use the common chairs made of plastic and instead opt for the wooden stools and tables that you see being used in Fook Yuen (the bread place in Asia City) and the Old Town outlets around town. It’s fantastic to see local businesses starting to see how design (better furniture) help.
