Last night, I attended a photography contest for bloggers organized by CUBE Restaurant and Wine Lounge at City Mall. Paiseh la u know, everyone who attended used big cameras meanwhile I was the only one using my small Canon G9. Small fry. Anyway, it was fantastic since I was able to meet some new people like the guy who used a white umbrella, the architect, the draftsmen and the photographers of two local magazines.

Six signature dishes were prepared and presented during the course of the time we spent there there. Each photographer were given the freedom to move, take, rotate the food in any way to get their desired shot. So, it was really quite interesting to see how these photographers work. Chik chak here chik chak there.

Apparently at the request of some photographers, two models were hired to become ‘customers’ to be in the shots when necessary. So ke lian la them. See but cannot eat. Same goes for everyone else there. Sigh. There were times really ngor sei ngo just looking at the food.

More information about the restaurant here.

You need to expose me to that scene, who’s that chick behind the glass?
I cannot stop writing comments here because I like how this is laid out, ick.

Andy Goh: The girl is a close friend of mine who happened to be one of the models there that night. Good luck with your new Wordpress theme design too.

Hin Ching, you’ve never told me that you own Canon G9!!! I’ve been thinking to get Canon G10. Maggie had one, we (me, Leila and Kristine) were so impressed with it. Your pictures look really nice. The details on sesame ball is so awesome. Now, I really want to get it! Btw, I’ve been considering with Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. Which one do you think is better?

Em: There aren’t any better pictures. I didn’t take much that night. -_-
Dians: Umm… I bought the G9 mid-2008. I heard great things about the Lumix as well. I think you should get that one instead. :)
