Many thanks to my blatant disregard of how flu germs spread, I am currently down with the flu— the type which just absorbs all the energy out of you and makes you blow your noise in every piece of fabric you can find. It’s not that bad, seriously. The itching cough and the yellow phlegm is arriving.

As far as I remember, we always referred phlegm as tam (pronounced as thumb) which means phlegm in Cantonese. Perhaps it was due to the fact no one could pronounce it properly, everyone around here seems to refer it that way.
Ways of getting rid of phelgm
Apart from finding cures in tablets, old remedies such as Bird Nest’s Soup and Loquat Syrup (pei pa kou) can help. I am not sure if it works but I would never pass the opportunity to have some bird nests. Hehehe.
