Having opened for almost several decades, a relic I’d say—New Diamond Restaurant is a restaurant located in easily-accessible Luyang which serves affordable chinese cuisine and is popular spot to dine in for the locals during the weekends. Apart from the dine-in customers, a majority of customers can be seen ordering takeaways throughout the week as well.

Sadly, the restaurant environment fairs quite badly especially during the peak hours (6.30–8.30pm). The lack of proper ventilation will leave you gasping for fresh air when a breeze passes by. Not recommended for people who cannot live without air-condition! The lighting itself is considerably dim making the dinner experience quite solemn indeed.
To be popular and to stay in business for this long relies predominantly on one factor—food quality. Of which, this restaurant has been consistently offering throughout the years. The food you would eat here would not necessarily compare well to the food at a hotel but in terms of deliciousness and value for money—this restaurant is a winner.
How young were you when you first visited this restaurant?
