Friday 20.11.09 — At my cousin Lih Boon’s 21st birthday celebrations for dinner. There was a phase when people used to call him ‘Baboon’. Seen above with his girlfriend and ‘heng dai’.
Saturday 21.11.09 — Ever so often, I do enjoy the Sotong kangkung — available at one of the Bukit Padang food stalls or the Sunday market at Gaya Street. Well-marinated squid, delicious kangkung and a sprinkle of grounded peanuts. Enjoyed this with Janelle on a cloudy afternoon.
It was an unforgettable night at Mei’s salsa event at Growball. A good turnout with several sessions of dance instructors teaching the salsa, buchata et cetera. Everyone seemed to have a great time despite a delayed start. More photos of the night here.
Sunday 22.11.09 — Became the first non-relative car passenger to experience Stella’s driving. Her parking skills were below mediocre. And seeing her make a turn makes my heart skip a few beats. Every time. If you can read this, it just means I was safely returned after lunch and coffee with her in Damai. How was your weekend?
