For a splendid streetview of Gaya Street while dining, insist on a table where the raised platform is upon entering. This place is fully air-conditioned—a plus for anyone trying to escape the heat during their lunch break.
Having dined here with a friend early this year, I’d recommend this place particularly if you are out on a date. There’s a romantic ambience to this place—be it the dim lighting, the fantastic food or the great service you get.
Apart from the usual Italian dishes that we are quick to associate with, such as spaghetti, lasagna or even pizza, the restaurant offers much more as you flip through the menu. Of course, there’s nothing wrong about ordering your favourite pizza or pasta but one definitely needs to give the other dishes a try sometime.
Don’t be surprised though if you do see a Hainanese chicken rice on the menu—the restaurant also offers a small selection of local favourites and some Western dishes. Each dish in the menu is given an Italian name which can be a tongue-twister at times. My advice—”Waiter, I’ll have this.”
For the time being (as of June 09), I believe there are two promotions going on—50% off any pizza and pasta from 5pm–7pm and 30% off any pizza and pasta from 2pm–5pm.
