A forehead scar like Harry Potter’s

Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Book CoverLike everyone else last weekend, I lined up to get my copy of JK Rowling’s last installment of the Harry Potter book series — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The long-awaited book delivered a fantastic finale to the boy’s epic story which we grew to love when the first book came out almost a decade ago. A worthy read for the weekend. On another note, major Malaysian bookstores — Popular, Harris, Times and MPH started selling the Harry Potter book again after publicly protesting against Tesco and Carrefour’s move in selling the book at a much cheaper price by withdrawing the book from their bookshelves. Via The Star and MPH.

Curiously, I have a scar on my forehead just like Harry Potter. No. It isn’t carrot-shaped or thunderbolt-shaped like his but a stitch scar from an incident which goes back to my Kindergarten years. It happened at the end of one of my Physical Education classes, I tried to emulate a friend who was hopping back to class on one leg. I had one hand balancing my body and another holding my leg. I tripped… and my forehead touched the ground first.I got myself together and stood up. It didn’t occur to me that my head was actually bleeding until some friends informed me. The pain kicked in after a few minutes and I was escorted to the staff office to rest before Mum took me to the clinic to have the wound cleaned and stitched.Have you gotten your copy of Harry Potter yet?
