Last night after work, I picked up Yien from home for an early dinner at Umai. As I waited in front of her home, she walked out in a gorgeous striped dress with pair of earrings I’ve never noticed before. Can I tell you she just amazes me everytime I see her hence the silly grin on my face, which she always questions me about. Anyway despite the usual Friday evening traffic jam, we secured ourselves a table and finished our dinner early to watch the Olympics opening ceremony together at home.

Nested in the entertainment room just enough to fit my family, Yien and I, lights dimmed, like every other person last night, we watched and enjoyed the opening ceremony to the fullest. Or at least for the first hour or so. Seeing a hundred or so countries walking into the stadium wasn’t entirely entertaining.
