Benefits of adding lemon to water

Have you ever noticed that there has been one too many occasions in restaurants whereby your glass of water is served with a slice of lemon. Besides the sole purpose of improving how water tastes, there aren’t really much benefits in adding lemon to water. In fact, lemons are natural diarectics (induces urination).

That said, it is proven that a warm glass of water with a dash of lemon can help in detoxing our body toxins. The temperature of the water helps work out the toxins quicker which I sincerely believe that is why Mum always encouraged me and my sisters to drink a glass of warm water as soon as we wake up in the mornings. I have always begged to differ as I always have laxitive-like symptoms after my morning glass of warm water.

A glass of water with a dash of lemon. A refreshing way to spruce up your water, doesn’t it? Would you bother to add a slice of lemon to your daily glass of water?

It’s diuretic by the way…hahaha…and the lemon just makes it taste nicer?

Hey. I remember someone told me before “lemon contains minerals (positive alkaline ions) which can neutralize the acidic elements in our body. forget about the soury taste.” lol. That guy/lady actually showed me some evidence too (a medical article or so). interesting? :)
