Figure 1. Being punctual usually results in waiting.
Earlier this week, I treated Chrystella, Michelle, Sharon and Lester to dinner at the Bintulu Korean Restaurant in Lintas Plaza. Tucked in a corner on the first floor of Block E (right above Kedai Kopi Jia Siang), the korean restaurant boasts a large range of Korean delicacies with the Bulgogi coming highly recommended.

Figure 2. Chrystella’s futile attempt in posing ‘cute’.
The restaurant is divided into two main eating areas. One suited for larger groups of people (Area A). And the latter, more suited for smaller groups of 4-6 people (Area B). Area B has an elevated wooden floor which allows you to sit on the ‘floor’. The area under the tables are not elevated so your sitting position is the same as sitting on an ordinary chair.

Figure 3. Lester loves his meat.
Cleverly disguised as a photo album, once seated, you are presented with a two-inch thick restaurant menu containing photographs for every dish they have there and their prices. If decision-making is not your stronghold, ask for recommendations from the waitress! Despite the lack of facial expressions, the waitresses there were helpful throughout the night–giving us suggestions on what people usually order at the restaurant, reaffirming that our meat was still uncooked et cetera.
It was expected I guess. We left the place smelling terrible. Anyway, this restaurant is probably one of the best here in Kota Kinabalu at the moment. With the sudden influx of Korean tourists here, it won’t be surprising if more Korean shops are being opened here. It will of course be a good thing. More choices for all of us.
