Cupcakes on PittShop 2, 323 Pitt Street SydneyTel: +61 (02) 9264 4644If you would like to know, there is this fabulous cupcake place on Pitt Street, Sydney. Award-winning cupcakes I tell you. The weather was upmost generous while we were in Sydney except for a particular day or two when it rained like there was no tomorrow.
On a splendid morning after having one of those ‘where-should-we-go-tomorrow’ planning sessions the night before, we decided to take the ferry to Manly beach. During the ferry trip which lasted more or less a half hour, we took the opportunity to take some photographs — the Sydney Harbour Bridge was a popular backdrop for most of our photographs.
The ferry ride was of a pleasant one except during the last five minutes of its trip where the waves looked like they were almost devouring our ferry but spitting them out again not long after. And yes. Some of us felt nauseous then.
Manly Beach looked no different than Surfer’s Paradise I reckon. After a meticulous search for the perfect spot to sit down (Sharon insisted that she wanted a spot with sunlight, meanwhile Frankie insisted his under shade), we sat down at the bottom of a short flight of stairs which descends into the beach. Taking out the cupcakes from my bag which we brought along to enjoy, to our dismay. The cupcakes looked like they suffered a severe beating during their occupancy in my bad. At A$3.80 each, we took a good look at the cupcakes. ‘Let’s eat.’ said Sharon.
Discarding the fact that the cupcakes we were eating were severely deformed, they tasted great. A few days after our excursion to Manly, Sharon returned back to the cupcake shop determined to fulfill her dream of having eaten some of Sydney’s best cupcakes which were still visually pleasing and having the photographs to prove them. What’s your favourite cupcake flavour?
