There is something about Japanese bakeries. The allure of fresh bread made from the freshest ingredients perhaps. Additive-free, mind you. Or at least most of them. Not that I’m a bread expert but the Hokkaido Soft Toast I tried at Crown & Fancy Taiwan (å°åŒ—市信義å€å¿ åæ±è·¯äº”æ®µ159號 Jhongsiao Store) was splendid.

According to David, this particular outlet was the second to be opened in Taiwan after a successful opening with its first store in Kaohsiung. Its well-known signature bread is the Hokkaido Soft Toast also commonly known as ‘Hokkaido Milk Loaf’. I was later informed that there used to be a limit of one loaf per person.
