One of my recent album purchases in iTunes—Karen Aoki - Groovin’ Jazz Night presents KAREN is a lively compilation of 7 songs by vocalist Karen Aoki. Growing up in Hong Kong and the US, she did her fair share of travelling during her highschool and college years around Thailand, London, and Japan. Interestingly, her birthday is a day after mine. A January capricorn.
Songs I particularly enjoyed: In My Life co-starring Shima & ShikouDUO (Track 4) and a rendition of ‘Moon River’ co-starring 田辺充邦 (Track 7). That said, all her songs are just as good.
