The ‘one-fluorescent-tube-fits-all’ culture

House Last Episode
Figure 1. Gregory House wakes up to a bus crash; not the bright lights in front of the screen.

I think I’m getting the hang of it: light layering which is the art of layering different light sources to produce a warm and inviting space. Currently, my two ANTIFONI desk lamps seem to be doing a good job lighting up my computer desk. Do you agree?

Anyway, you might remember how most of our homes were lit a decade ago. One fluorescent tube for each room. Maybe two if the space is large. Remember how house lizards seem to be attracted to these light tubes for some weird reason? Or how about the arrival of flying ants come rain season? Ahhhh. Fluorescent tubes. Not much of a good thing nowadays with energy-saving bulbs pushing it to extinction soon.

Is your house still using a single fluorescent tube to light up a whole room?
