Saturday Appreciation Dinner

Saturday Appreciation Dinner
Figure. 1 Hin Ching, Lester and Sharon

Unlike the previous year, my family decided to organize a pre-CNY party/birthday party dubbed the Saturday Appreciation Dinner—in line with the annual January thing I usually have. The dinner was held on January 19th, a lovely Saturday despite a drizzle or two in the early evening.

Due to the need to cater for our Muslim guests, our food was fully catered by The Hut (Damai)—a convenient choice as all the food prepared were Halal. p.s. The salad prawns with fresh fruits was one of the worst dishes that night.

I have always preferred having a small group of friends around instead of inviting everyone I knew, reason-being is that it is always much more enjoyable spending time with a few than trying to rotate time among various groups of friends. Hence, the number of guests I invited this time: Four.
