Last Saturday, I paid a spontaneous visit to the local florist in Damai to get Yien a bouquet of flowers before picking her up for lunch in 1Borneo. There wasn’t any special occasion to celebrate but I merely wanted to buy the flowers for her as a surprise. Flowers are best given when least expected, agree?
In terms of flowers, I have always stuck with lilies. Not that there is also a specific reason, but there is a limited choice of flowers here. Then again, I love lilies. And it just makes sense to share what I love with Yien.
Hope she liked the flowers.
Have you received any flowers lately?

In actual fact, flowers carries different meaning and usage in different places based on the local culture. Lilies is a great flowers for lots of occasions.
Tips on choosing a great lily bouquet is to choose an half bloom bouquet and long stem. Those receive lilies bouquet can unwrap it, dip in a pail of water, cut the stem diagonally under the water, put inside a tall vase and it should be able to last for days.
