Quite recently, I was handed a USB stick by Yien which contained music that she decided to share with me. Or at least that was what I thought. She was probably a bit annoyed by the same music I keep playing through my iPhone in the car. I have to admit I needed some fresh music.

She introduced three mandarin albums. One of them which got the nod of approval from my youngest sister. “Mun, do you like this song I am playing now?” I asked her on the way home. “Ya. Since when you have such good taste in music?” she answered. “I always have ‘good’ taste in music wan” I hesitated. Yien has great taste in music — I have to admit.

As a gesture of appreciation, I decided to do the same — to produce a compilation of mandarin ballad songs just for her. My music library is nothing to be a proud of so I downloaded some new Mandarin albums instead. The plan was to download albums based on their downloads popularity and then filter down the songs to the ones I think she might enjoy.

It started off badly. She listened to some of the songs this afternoon and rejected most of them! She couldn’t identify most of the songs at all and hinted them probably as old songs. In order not to be associated with the old songs, I’m now back on the hunt for some nice Mandarin songs. Probably something currently being played on MyFM.

I did consider putting the above song into the compilation but I fear she’ll be avoiding me more instead. Sexy boy, sexy boy!
