Stella Im Hultberg

Stella Im Hultberg
Figure 1. Limited Edition — 33/500

The anticipation started not long after my last email correspondence with Katie of Gallery1988 San Francisco. Payment was received, with an assurance that the prints I’ve ordered would be shipped out the following week. The thought of a small parcel travelling all the way from San Francisco to Malaysia does seem daunting at first but let’s not think too much.

Yesternoon, it arrived carefully sealed in a thick card envelope (which in turn was sealed in a larger padded envelope). My first print purchase for my new-found obsession to decorate my bedroom wall–Stella Im Hultberg’s Mini Print Set. Woohoo. Stella Im Hultberg’s work is something I’ve quite admired for a while ever since I found her work through we[heart]prints.

Hey, finally an update! lol. that was daring of u to trust msia Pos! ive sent stuff back before and a few times the item was never delivered. So, lucky you! anyways.. Stella Im Hultberg’s work looks good,i especially liked “Always…” (top left one in your pic), didn’t know that you’d fancy this sort of work, thought i would be too girly for you. Anyways, everyone’s planning for their mid-yr hols, and I miss us planning for our annual trips! oh why did u have to go back to msia so fast!! :P

Hinching, you might interested with Audrey Kawasaki’s paintings too. I must admit Stella Im Hultberg’s has more sensible style than Audrey’s though. The tea stain texture is lovely, but I am not too fancy with her drawings (they could be quite femme fatale sometimes hehe). I prefer something like Amy Sol’s painting, where the illustration is more mythical and dreamy.

I’ve been looking to buy one of her prints. Let me know if anyone find Amy Sol’s painting for sale.
