By chance, we managed to obtain a pair of VIP tickets to the Saturday event—a special appearance by 4 Hong Kong Superstars as part of a gimmick to encourage the public to subscribe to their Dragon Pack.
If it is any glimpse of the impact of Hong Kong drama serials in Malaysia, we now can watch our favourite serials at exactly the same time it is aired in Hong Kong via Astro On Demand. We even have an awards show dedicated to them.
At the central atrium where the event was held, we waited. The wait was agonizing. We were told to be earlier but were not informed that there were Q&A sessions where folders with celebrities headshots were being given away. Folders.
Prior to the special appearances by the celebrities, we were entertained with several singing performances by 4 local music artists. I had no idea what they were singing but they sounded not bad.
It was an eye opener to say the least to see these celebrities in person doing what they do best. These people aren’t just only actors, gameshow hosts or singers—they are brilliant entertainers who showed the audience a good time that afternoon.
My sister and me were exhausted by the time it ended. And starving. On another note, the drama series on Astro On Demand are real productive-killers. I would know. I watch them every day. Two episodes daily. Am I the only one who watches?

lol. you’re not. I dl them over here. everyday. and 2 taiwanese series. 4 and a half hours dedicated to watching them. =D
I don’t get On Demand at home, but we have them in office, so I watch them at work :P
