I’ll admit there’s a certain allure to items on sale. Last weekend was among the busiest I’ve ever seen—the Kaamatan Festival festival long weekend. The local newspapers were brimmed with massive discounts leading up to the Festival. People were out shopping and spending money. A good sign I suppose.
Times Bookshop is having a warehouse book clearance sale at Asia City. If you missed the first one a couple of months back, you definitely should drop by. Being a sucker of books—I went. I now proudly have five new additions to my office bookshelf. :)
I appreciate variety in the books I read and buy—two Penguin paperbacks about business and dinosaurs. A first-person narrated story. A cook book! (Sharon, this is a rather nice book with mouth-watering photographs!) And a book to cater the foodie part of me.
What books or magazines have you read lately?
